$1600Students will learn the skills and get the hands-on veterinary assistant training needed to tend to the needs of animals in a veterinary clinic.
Students complete the online portion and then move to a local veterinary clinic where they complete an 8 week/100 clinical externship.
The goal of the Veterinary Assistant program to prepare students to work as veterinary assistants under the supervision of veterinarians and veterinary technicians in small or large animal hospitals or clinics. The program also prepares the students to take the national test to become an Approved Veterinary Assistant through NAVTA.
