The Basic EMT course is being offered at the Southwest Tech in conjunction with the Bennington Rescue Squad. Students who satisfactorily complete the course will be eligible to sit for the national EMT certification exam. Also, any hours completed in this program can be applied toward the EMT apprenticeship currently offered though the Bennington Rescue Squad.
Students will learn about the human body, ethics, stabilization, airways, assessment, trauma, types of injuries, ambulance operations, and much more.
